The Swamp By Otrocis Today our adventuring party decided to complete the deal it had made with the black elidhu, or the Swamp Spirit. The last time we met it we had promised we would help it, although we were no more explicit than that. On the way to the swamp where the Swamp Spirit lives, we also decided to investigate why the Forest Spirit was singing alongside the Greenwall. When we arrived, we found the Forest Spirit, along with several green and black fairies, singing. When we got closer, it seemed that the Forest Spirit was using some type of magic that involves singing to use the black fairies to relay a message to the Swamp Spirit. One of our party members, ???, wounded a fairy, and then was dropped unconscious from a slash of the Forest Spirit’s morganti blade. After seeing that the Forest Spirit was using the morganti, our party quickly got out of the way and traveled towards the swamp. When we arrived at the swamp, we found a mass of red, green, and black fairies, all fighting against each other. They were then taking the wounded fairies of other colors and somehow converting into their own color. The red fairies quickly became the only type of fairy left, and it was soon a battle between our party and a cluster of seemingly endless. This was a losing battle, because every time we wounded a red fairy, another red fairy took its place. We were almost lost, with almost all of our adventuring party wounded, when the Swamp Spirit arrived. It demolished the red fairies with ease, and then healed us up with one of its various sorceries. The Swamp Spirit then proceeded to ask us, “where are my fairies?” We, remembering the black fairies that the Forest Spirit, told the Swamp Spirit that the Forest Spirit had its fairies. With this knowledge in mind, the Swamp Spirit decided to find the Forest Spirit near the Greenwall. When we found the Greenwall, at first the Forest Spirit was not there, and the Swamp Spirit started to call it. Then the Forest Spirit, along with several rainforest creatures entered the area. The Swamp Spirit asked for its fairies, and surprisingly, the Forest Spirit gave them back willingly. Then the Forest Spirit told the Swamp Spirit that it should join with it, because the Swamp Spirit is new, and it could teach the Swamp Spirit. When we argued that the Swamp Spirit should come with us, the Forest Spirit said that it had been here since the start of the world, and we had only been here a short time, so it would have more wisdom. In the end, the Swamp spirit reluctantly went with the Forest Spirit.
