Zet!Ubar Chronicle 4 It is quite early. I did not think I’d be waking before the sun. I should find something to do. My hair has been messing me for almost a moon now. That could be something to spend my morning on. Allor was kind enough to give me a discount on the cut. It is nice to have it buzzed again. Oh it is the morning of All Hallows indeed. I should find some ghost stories to tell the others. The gathering of people in the inn makes it seem like everyone is quite excited for the day. I hope Valen awake and here. I am ashamed to say it is Xitli first. I think they might have an order to this. Xitli is more knowledgeable than I thought. She mentioned a way of huntering something while exorcising an outsider to keep some of the best alchemical agreements. Quite interesting indeed. Just as I thought Xitli was more relaxed than my initial thoughts she says she will murder someone. Lovely. The first mission we are going on is to investigate the humming. I don’t think I am going to focus on the magic of this but how it’s effecting peoples minds. I will record my notes. Ptolemaic premonitions are usually images but thunderbolt and lightning interlocked whip snapping, lantern in a rainbow, and a rainbow with a clear spot maybe in the sky. Teeth are not bone. I think we might need to unweave the mana in the air. It is building up to a ritual of sorts? There is something that is happening in the ley line. We found a shape is being drawn with the resonance. Intent is what shapes magic. It takes a great amount of power and force to shape magic without intent. Great amounts of magic power and energy can also make intent of its own. Pushing and pulling is important to this fact. It sounds like grounding the energy could be a good idea. We would need morganti or dark stone to do so. An interesting idea was brought up that helped Xitli come to a new realization: What if the shards are the diffusion of a wave of huge amounts of mana? This would mean the Arc was not a disaster, but instead was a mistimed event. Perhaps the tapping of the leylines is far less dangerous than we thought. That is if not for the timing and situation. It seems like we have come to a consensus. Most of the group will go into a cave. If we try to get as far into the earth as we can we can try to hide from the wave. Ptolemae will go to the ley taps and channel the energy through prisms they have there. The rest will hide in the nearby Green Shard in the swamp. Hopefully our group has success in these abandoned mines. We have reached the end of the mine now. It seems there is still a threshold further that we could just access if we tuned to the primal energy here. Huilotl and I think it has something to do with singing in tune but we could not get it to work.
