Starling (Fi)

Hey it's Starling, A lot happened today. First of all, we met a new innkeeper today. Her name is Marigold and she is a dwarf. She is an incredibly talented historian and archeologist, and her skills are quite impressive. She did tell us that the town is mad at us, or just generally mistrusts us because of the promise we broke with the vigilantes. Even though it was a stupid promise most of us did not make. The only mission we were able to go on was fairly interesting. We went to explore some old ruins that Marigold told us about. She suspects it is an ancient farm from the people who used to live on the plateau. On our way, we encountered two hostile forces. The first was a bunch of people. I assume they were the vigilantes because they looked and acted like vigilantes, they were very well armed, and they did not act or look at all like bandits. It was even more clear to us they were the vigilantes as when we asked them "what are you doing out here" they responded, "looking for you." and proceeded to attack us. Most of us- including myself, bolted for the path. Quite a few of us were left behind and dropped. Strangely, none of us were killed or robbed, everyone was stabilized and Saphire (one of my fellow adventurers) was healed so that he could heal everyone else. This was strange for vigilantes as they usually aim to kill their enemies so that they are no longer threats, however they most likely did not kill us because Captain Amara would have been furious to learn they murdered us. We also ran into some large wormlike creatures who tried to kill us. When we came to the ruins, I was instantly worried. It was a sort of inverted step pyramid with walls. It was guarded by a bunch of clay golems that completely destroyed us. Luckily, we had a healer, I think her name was Rubie, and she did heal us quite a bit. Still, it was horrible as every time I felt healing magic and was healed enough to stand, I was attacked again. The strange thing was, they didn't take our stuff or kill us, just left us outside of their area. We had to head back to town but hopefully we will be able to try again. In other news, my friend Billy has been having strange episodes. He has passed out several times, each time having horrifying visions he cannot remember. I used my gift to see his thoughts and was instantly scared. The first time I saw an expanse of blue engulfed by flames and the second time I saw only blood red. After such episodes he is disoriented. When I notice he's having an episode I immediately try to shake him awake and it usually works. I wonder what it could be? Regarding people, Jade is as chaotic as ever and has been terrorizing Neel (In a joking way of course, classic Jade) Chris has been as, well, Chris as ever. Sapphire has been quiet and so has Rose. Billy has been having more frequent episodes. Aster’s doing alright I think, though I haven’t had much time to talk to him, or anyone else for that matter. I did however write him a letter and he responded, he said we are friends! I actually have friends! I hope everyone is doing okay. Hopefully no one’s mad at me? Probably just me worrying.
