Phetoma (Davis) II

Tentacle Week 8 (215.3.3 25th of the Tenthmoon) Last week, we learned that something was controlling people. When we used blink, it looked like a tentacle coming out of them. This week, we saw this tentacle leading out of the inn so we decided to follow it. There were many on-the-way encounters along the way, but I will only discuss a few of them. The first one I will talk about is the guards and mage school. I have talked about this before. The City Guard is trying to check all the stuff coming into the Anguron Mage School but they are doing it carelessly, chucking boxes around, waiving torches into the explosives, etc. If you ask them why, they’ll just say, “I’m just following orders,” it has almost just become a meme now. The City Guard chucked and wacked the shipments with no mercy and the mage school attacked them. The mage school easily won and then we explained the tentacle to them. They understood that this could be controlling them and left them there and took their shipments. This the closest to being solved this has been. In the next encounter, there was a caravan full of mail that was open with people in front of it and two d███ bodies. We first asked the people what happened to the d███ bodies they said they did not know. After that they proclaimed to be many different people: the merchants guild, undercover city guard, ect. Most of them then ran off and there were 2 left, the rest left a couple seconds later. They definitely lied. Later, we found a couple mages and people rioting. The mages apparently exploded some lava by accident and k███led a lot of people. The people k███ed the mages far past d███ and dropped them in the lava. There was nothing we could do everytime we neutralized someone another would join in. We would have to solve it diplomatically but it’s not like that's ever gone well so we just sat there and waited it out. A little bit later, Our torches failed. I tried to relight the torches they would go on, make heat for a second with no light and then go out. Nothing we tried made light, no mage torch, no glowing red eyes and hair. The goal was to find the exit. While we found the exit we heard voices. These voices were giving little flash backs on the day. We do not know if they had to be on the tentacle because we were following it but it would make sense. I stayed to listen for a while. I tried to talk to them and I don’t know if it worked . After this we were at the dueling ring, our torches worked but it was still dark like the rest of the city. In the middle of the ring there the duelist who P█ right smack in the middle of it with a black halo on he duelist’s head d███ bodies surrounded her. It was scary. The duelist turned around. The duelist spoke. The duelist said we could get into the ring. No one did. The duelist told us to surrender the city. We said NO. The duelist dropped a piece of the cipher. The duelist walked away. OUT OF GAME: Kim responded to me she said “Follow me and you will find out” I do not know if this in or out of game so maybe I think we should disbelieve that entire thing when we see it again or at least the duelist. We need help.
